Textures in Weaving - Intermediate 

Instructor: Ellen Armendáriz Stumbo 

Cost: $85 - includes class fee and all materials

Dates: Saturday, January 25th, 2025 9:00am-4:00pm
There will be a break for lunch on your own

Level: Prior to this class, you need to have completed our beginner’s “Learn to Weave” class OR have prior weaving experience. Intermediate level. This class is for participants 18+.

Skills: You will warp your loom and learn seven different stitches to add texture and dimension to your weavings. We will finish by adding tassels, tucking in the tails and hanging it on a dowel for display.

Project: You will be creating a multi-colored sample piece that will include all seven stitches plus tassels. 

Materials: All materials are included in class fee. You will have the option to purchase a frame loom after class at 10% off. 

Instructor Bio: Ellen Armendáriz Stumbo is a fiber artist from Mexico, living in Minnesota. Tapestry weaving was an art form passed down from her mother. She has done commission pieces, and really enjoys bringing her culture into her art.
