Dates: Thursdays 3:00-5:00pm, July 9 & July 23 (2 sessions)

Level: Prior to this class, you need to be able to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, knit in the round and read a pattern. Adventurous advanced beginner. This class is for participants age 16+.

*NOTE: This class will require some prework - you will need to knit a gauge swatch, wash and block it prior to class. 

Skills: You will learn how to determine gauge and size, German short rows, modifying the neckline, raglan increases, dividing for sleeves, completing sleeves and more.

You will not finish this sweater in class, but you will learn the necessary skills and be well on your way at the conclusion of session 2!

Pattern: Ranunculus by Midori Hirose - please purchase and print your pattern prior to class. This pattern is not available for purchase in shop.

• Yarn: This pattern can be done in just about any yarn from lace to worsted weight. We are happy to help you choose! A few suggestions:

About the Instructor: Cori Eichelberger is a former high school English teacher for at-risk students, who she also taught to knit. She has over 20 years’ experience teaching beginning knitting and technique classes and her workshops are popular at yarn shops and retreats throughout the United States.

She co-authored the book Minnesota 52: 16 Knits Inspired by the Road in 2017. And in the Fall of 2020, published Knitwords: 8 Patterns and 10 Musings that Celebrate the Knitter.

Cori produces a bi-weekly YouTube podcast – “Irocknits” – where she inspires knitters to make beautiful sweaters and shawls while providing Tips and Tricks and a touch of humor.
