Learn to Knit!

Instructor: Nancy DeVries

Cost: $45 class fee + materials

Dates: Thursdays, March 26 and April 2, 6:00-8:00pm (two sessions)

Level: No experience required!

Skills: You will learn how to cast on (demonstrated), knit, purl, join a new ball of yarn, weave in ends, and read a pattern.

Pattern: “Wheat” scarf by Tin Can Knits (free pattern - provided in class)

Materials: 10% off with class purchase. Please purchase class yarn at Rose Yarn Co.

• 2 skeins - Malabrigo Rios, Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage or Cascade 220 Superwash Merino in a light-medium color 
• Size US 8 (5 mm) 24” circular needle

Instructor Bio: From Nancy - "My grandma was a master embroiderer and crocheter of lace edgings. She taught me how to crochet at the age of 9. I began knitting after the birth of my first child. I love trying new and intricate patterns or making things up on my own. I have done many baby blankets, sweaters, granny squares, dishcloths, scarves, etc. I either knit or crochet daily, if not both! I have taught many friends and kids how to knit. I am currently working on designing mitten patterns."
