Learn to Weave!

Instructor: Ellen Stumbo

Cost: $60 - includes class fee and all materials

Dates: Saturday, December 9, 10:00am-1:00pm

Level: No experience required!

Skills: You will learn the basics of modern weaving, including four different stitches using a variety of fiber weights, how to add fringe, finishing with a dowel, and basic weaving terminology. You will leave with a small finished tapestry. This class is for participants 18+.

Project: You will be making a small 4-6 color tapestry/wall hanging, approx. 10” x 10” using our class frame looms. We will have pre-made fiber packs in a wide variety of colors/fibers available for you to choose from.

Materials: Included in class fee. You will have the option to purchase your frame loom after class at 10% off.

Instructor Bio: Ellen Stumbo is a fiber artist from Mexico, living in Minnesota. Tapestry weaving was an art form passed down from her grandmother. She has done commission pieces, and really enjoys bringing her culture into her art.
