Fall Festival Acorns

Description: Learn to knit some colorful acorns for your fall decor. Or, just because they're so dang cute!

Instructor: Shari Besser

Cost: $20 plus Materials

Dates: Wednesday, September 13, 2:30-4:30 pm

Level: Prior to this class, you need to be able to cast on, knit, purl, and be comfortable with working on double pointed needles (DPNs). Advanced beginner. This class is for participants age 18+.

Skills: You will learn tips for working a small circumference project on DPNS, right and left lifted increases, 3 stitch purl I-cord, and how to stuff and close up the acorn.

Materials: 10% off with class purchase. Class supplies to be purchased at Rose Yarn Co.

• Blue Sky Fibers Fall Festival Bundle Kit (21 mini hanks). One mini hank will make one complete acorn (acorn nut and cap colors can be mixed and matched).

• Size 6 DPNs

• Stuffing (stuffing for 1-2 acorns will be provided in class)

• Locking stitch marker

• Tapestry needle 

Instructor Bio: From Shari Besser – “I’ve been teaching classes since 1998, when my twins graduated from high school, and Zandy from Zandy’s yarn shop took a chance on me! I learn more from people than I teach! My grandma taught me to crochet and knit a bit, but a friend sat me down and taught me the basics, I’m so thankful for her! I’m still learning and in awe of what so many accomplish. I might be a familiar face as I’ve taught at a few shops!”
