Advanced Beginner Basketweave Socks

This class is intended for students who have completed our Beginner Socks Class and are ready to move on to the next step! We will move from DK to fingering weight yarn and incorporate a few new skills.

Instructor: Mary Hanson

Cost: $40 class fee + materials

Dates: Thursdays 3:00-5:00 pm, September 12th and 26th (2 sessions)

Level: Advanced Beginner. This is not a beginner sock class. Prior to this class, you should know how to cast on, read a pattern, knit and purl, knit in the round, kitchener stitch, and have prior experience doing a heel flap, turn and gusset.

Skills: You will learn how to knit a sock top down using fingering weight yarn, incorporating a ribbed basketweave pattern and changing colors for a contrasting cuff, heel and toe. We will also review how to complete a heel flap, turn and gusset. You will finish the foot/toe of this sock outside of class. This class is for participants 18+.

***Note: This class will require some pre-work.
